Progetto Ara di Motorola, per costruirsi lo smartphone su misura

Quante volte ci siamo trovati in situazioni tali per cui abbiamo rimpianto che il nostro smartphone non avesse una fotocamera più potente e prestazionale, una registrazione audio ad alta fedeltà o una batteria più prestante? In pratica, quante volte avremmo voluto “costruirci ” il dispositivo su misura?

Adesso, grazie a Motorola, questo è possibile. La casa americana ha presentato il “Progetto Ara”, per cui sarà possibile assemblare un dispositivo con le componenti SW e HW più indicate alle proprie necessità. Ci sarà una base strutturale comune sulla quale potranno essere montati i componenti scelti e che, all’occorrenza, potranno essere sostituiti al variare delle caratteristiche richieste. Non mancherà, ovviamente, la possibilità di estremizzare la personalizzazione estetica. Motorola, nei prossimi mesi, rilascerà un programma specifico per gli sviluppatori delle varie componenti: MDK (Motorola Developer Kit) e, intanto, ha aperto una specifica pagina WEB di presentazione del progetto.

How many times we would like that our smartphones didn’t have a more powerful camera, a high-fidelity audio recording or a more powerful battery? In practice, how many times we would like to “customize” the device as we wanted? Now, thanks to Motorola, this is possible. The American company has presented the “Project Ara“, so it will be possible to assemble a device with the SW and HW components best suited to our own needs. There will be a common structural basis on which can be fitted selected components that, if necessary, can be replaced to change the characteristics required. There will, of course, the opportunity to exaggerate the aesthetic customization. Motorola in the coming months, will release a special program for the developers of the various components: MDK (Motorola Developer Kit) and, meanwhile, has opened a specific webpage to present the project.
